Yamaha – in particular home team Petronas Yamaha SRT – have been in formidable form all weekend at the Sepang International Circuit. FP1 and FP2 belonged to Quartararo as the rookie sensation set new lap records in both of Friday’s sessions. Then, teammate Morbidelli came out all guns blazing on Saturday to head FP3 and FP4, before Quartararo took a stunning fifth pole of the season ahead of his Yamaha counterparts.
