A 57-year-old male driver has been charged after a fatal collision between his Toyota Yaris and a motorcycle in Queanbeyan, NSW, last December.
The collision occurred about 3.20pm on Monday 23 December 2019 in McCrae Street, near Lanyon Drive.
The 74-year-old male rider was taken to Queanbeyan Hospital with face, chest and leg injuries.
He died in hospital on Wednesday 1 January 2020.
The Yaris driver was not injured in the collision and was taken to Queanbeyan Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation.
Last Sunday, (31 May 2020), the driver, from Kambah, ACT, attended Queanbeyan Police Station where he was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for negligent driving (occasioning death).
He is due to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday 24 August 2020.
A Victorian rider in his 20s has died after a tragic collision with a car that turned out in front of his motorcycle in Mont Albert, Melbourne, yesterday afternoon (3 April 2019).
Police are now appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage.

Police say the motorcyclist was riding east along Mt Albert Rd about 5.50pm.
The brown Volkswagen Golf was travelling south on York St and turned right into Mount Albert Rd into the path of the motorcycle.
Tragic collision
The young rider received life-threatening injuries in the collision and later died in hospital.

The driver of the car was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Nunawading Highway Patrol are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone in the area at the time with dash-cam footage.

Lives lost
The tragic crash brings the total number of motorcyclist lives lost this year to 21 compared with 11 at the same time last year.
Witnesses are being sought after a 2004 blue Honda Accord sedan merged into a lane with a 2012 blue Harley-Davidson causing it to crash on the Logan Motorway at Springwood last Wednesday (November 7, 2018).
Forensic Crash Unit investigators have released this video as part of an appeal for information.
The crash happened about 4.50pm on the Logan Road on-ramp, towards the southbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway.
A 55-year-old Harley rider was hit when the Accord to merged into his lane. He remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 21-year-old Woodridge man “continues to assist with the investigation”.
The driver did not pull up after the Harley crashed at the side of the road.
However, a second motorcyclist pulled the driver over for a short conversation before riding on.
Police now want to speak with the second motorcyclist to continue investigations into the crash, or any other witnesses, particularly those with dash cam footage.
