Major numbers and historical achievements were the call of the weekend during the Acerbis Czech Round, the eighth round of the 2023 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship season. The phenomenal Autodrom Most boasted its highest-ever attendance, with over 50,000 fans seeing history made and records smashed. We’ve crunched the numbers and put them in one place for you to see for yourself just how monumental Most was.
1050 – A year on from achieving their 1000th podium place, Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team) gave Ducati their 1050th.
304.2 – Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Xavi Vierge (Team HRC) both set a new top speed record for the Autodrom Most in motorcycle racing with 304.2km/h.
255 – Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) took his 255th podium with P2 in the Superpole Race. He ended the weekend on 256.
252/23 – After 252 days or 23 WorldSBK races, Rea returned to winning ways with a win in Race 1.
191/186 – Looking at points scored in the last four rounds, Bautista scored 191, compared to Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha Prometeon WorldSBK), who scored 186. If Razgatlioglu hadn’t suffered a tyre failure and DNF in Race 2, he’d have outscored Bautista – 211 for Toprak, 186 for Alvaro.
50 –Razgatlioglu’s first ever pole at Most was the 50th for Yamaha in WorldSBK.
50 – 50 wins for Bautista in WorldSBK, all achieved with Ducati.
50 – Jonathan Rea scored 50 points over the course of the weekend, more than anyone else this weekend and more than he has ever scored at Most.
38 – For the 38th time in WorldSBK history, five manufacturers were inside the top five places in a race, achieved in Race 1 at Most. It was the first time since 2022’s Race 2 at Assen.
30 – 30th career fastest lap for Toprak Razgatlioglu in Race 2 at Most.
28 – In WorldSSP300, the #28 of Lennox Lehmann (Freudenberg KTM – Paligo Racing) took a first win in Most’s Race 1, becoming the 28th different winner. A 29th was achieved on Sunday in Race 2 with Aldi Mahendra’s (Team BrCorse) win for Indonesia.
27 – 27 led laps for Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing) but still no win, the third-highest in this unwanted record. Jakub Smrz is next at 32, whilst Davide Giugliano holds the record at 45.
23 – Yamaha’s 23-race podium streak ended in Race 2, with Toprak Razgatlioglu crashing from the lead and the best-placed Yamaha being Remy Gardner in sixth. It’s the first time a Yamaha has missed the top five since San Juan Race 1 in 2022, when the best Yamaha was Andrea Locatelli in P8.
18 – 18 wins in a season for Alvaro Bautista, a new all-time record in WorldSBK.
12 – For the first time in over 12 years, when Troy Corser was fourth at Monza in 2011, an Australian was on the front row after Superpole with Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team).
5 – P5 and the best result of the year for Iker Lecuona (Team HRC) in Race 1,
3 – For the first time since Portimao 2021, three different winners on three different makes of machinery this weekend. Rea won for Kawasaki in Race 1, followed by Razgatlioglu for Yamaha in the Superpole Race and Bautista for Ducati in Race 2. In Portimao 2021, it was Razgatlioglu for Yamaha in Race 1, Michael van der Mark for BMW in the Superpole Race and Rea for Kawasaki in Race 2.
2 – P2 for Petrucci in Race 2 at Most, a best result for him in WorldSBK.
1 – Tarran Mackenzie (PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team) took his first victory in WorldSSP, which was the first for Honda since Lusail 2016. It was the 33rd win for the United Kingdom in the class, and Honda’s 105th.
1 – For the first time this year and at Most, Jonathan Rea took a podium in each race.
