As expected, times tumbled throughout the cold, Friday morning session, with Casadei and Torres both setting their respective fastest laps with the chequered flag out. Miquel Pons, of the LCR E-Team, did likewise with a 1:46.086 which left him third on the timesheet. Rounding out the top five were Xavi Fores (Octo Pramac MotoE™) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team), who leads the World Cup after winning both races at Jerez a fortnight ago.
