Masia was the rider who ventured into the 1:39s for the first time, with 2019 World Champion Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing) going P2. Masia, who finished outside the top 10 in FP1, had a three-tenths advantage in the final 10 minutes but Garcia soon pegged that back, with Ramirez and the latter exchanging P2. At the chequered flag, Masia held on to claim Friday honours from Garcia and FP1 pacesetter Ramirez, the impressive Artigas climbs from P26 to P4 in the afternoon to sit faster than teammate Dalla Porta.
