They were split by World Championship leader Sergio Garcia (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team), who went as quick as a 1:43.385. There was unfortunate news out of the CIP Green Power camp before the session, with Joel Kelso withdrawing from the event as he continues to feel the effects of the Warm Up crash he was caught up in a fortnight earlier at Jerez.
