Manzi was setting the pace from the off as the MV Agusta man hit the ground running in Valencia, but it was a closely contented session throughout. Lowes took his turn at the summit before Manzi then stuck his MV back on top by a couple of tenths. Binder then went quicker in the latter stages but missed out on beating Manzi just 0.046, with an MV Agusta chassis topping a session for the first time this season. Behind third-best Lowes was Fabio Di Giannantonio (MB Conveyors Speed Up), with Jorge Martin (Red Bull KTM Ajo) rounding out the top five.
