Lowes didn’t encounter any troubles though. The British rider will have to start from pitlane for the San Marino GP after his Styrian GP crash, but it was the number 22 who set the pace in the intermediate class from home heroes Marini and Bezzecchi. Despite his early crash, Schrötter finished P4 in FP1, with title contender Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team) picking up the final top five place – 0.540 back from Lowes’ effort, which was 1.3 seconds faster than Moto2™ FP1 in 2019 at the venue.
