A special paint job with an eagle on the right side of the tank and fairing is now available for the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special.
The eagle has long been associated in Harley logos and trademarks as it represents a connection between the motorcycle company and American patriotism and liberty.
Cost of this special paint job is about an extra $A795 ($NZ870), bringing the price of the model to $A40,495 ($NZ43,120).
The Eagle Eye Special Edition Paint Option is only available on the Road Glide Special when the bike is ordered.
“Factory installation offers the customer an attainable custom paint option that eliminates the need to either re-paint the original components or install an accessory paint set that leaves takeoff painted parts on the shop floor,” Harley says.
The Eagle Eye paint option is executed on a brilliant-yellow base colour with a glossy clear coat finish.
It features a black eagle spreading its wings.
On the left side of the tank is the famed and valuable Bar & Shield logo which was recently embroiled in a copyright issue with a small diner.
The words “Harley-Davidson” in script on the outside edge of each saddlebag lid with colour-matched latches.
The special edition paint option finish is backed by the Harley-Davidson limited warranty.
