After the mid-day break, the sun once again shone on the track, but the mixed conditions meant that only a select few riders could better their morning times, with Acosta the pick of the lot as he moved up into P2 after completing his 13th lap. With only a few minutes remaining, and as riders prepared to get ready for one final flying lap, the rain flags were back out as specks of rain began to fall across the circuit, but Foggia had already posted a time good enough to take him to the top of the session’s timesheets.
