Coronavirus prompts cancellation of Seattle Supercross

13th round of the Supercross series to be rescheduled
Increased restrictions on large-scale events in a number of Washington counties due to the coronavirus has prompted promoters of Monster Energy Supercross to cancel Seattle’s stop on 28 March, while it’s understood the 13th round will be rescheduled.
The decision comes in accordance with the governor’s restrictions on group gatherings in King County amid coronavirus concerns, which has banned events with an attendance of over 250 people.
The Seattle round is the first Supercross venue to be impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, with a number of global motorcycle events, including the MXGP World Championship, already cancelling or postponing events.
