The former Moto2™ World Champion attempted to ride in FP1, ending the session 1.3 seconds adrift of pacesetter Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT), but after talking with HRC, decided it was best to sit out the remainder of this weekend’s action.  He will now rest with the intention of returning at the Catalan Grand Prix next weekend.
