Posting to social media, the Spaniard said: “I gave my maximum. I came here to Germany to try and see if it is possible to make the GP, but after FP3 I was suffering a lot of pain in my hand. So, myself and the team have decided to try and recover as much as possible, to not do the race and come back for Assen. For sure it’s a big shame because I really like this track but I’m not able to ride fast so we decided to finish the GP here.”
