Izan Guevara (GASGAS Aspar Team) has carried his momentum from Catalunya into FP1 for Round 10 of the Moto3™ World Championship at the Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland. After taking victory a fortnight ago in the Catalan Grand Prix, the Spaniard was fastest for much of the opening session of the weekend for the lightweight class at the Sachsenring. Guevara was already on top when he pressed home his advantage with a 1:26.459 as the chequered flag flew, while John McPhee (Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max) took second thanks to a late 1:26.691.
