There’s no arguing that MV Agusta has a distinct aesthetic presence in the world of motorcycles, and the new limited-edition Rush might be one of its best examples yet. Only 300 units will be produced worldwide, so get in contact with your closest MV Agusta dealer quickly if you have any interest in this bike. They’re not likely to last long. The Rush utilizes the same engine, chassis, and electronics as the Brutale 1000. That means a fire-breathing 998cc engine delivering 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and 86 pound-feet of torque at 11,000 rpm. The cam phasing is updated for better low- and midrange performance. There’s new primary drive gearing to reduce friction, and a stronger clutch. The EAS 3.0 electronic gearbox is more precise in its operation thanks to a new sensor and the four-pipe exhaust is updated for the model as well to improve sound while still meeting Euro 5 emissions requirements.

MV has brushed up the electronics package for the Rush as well, with a new IMU that promises to feed more precise positioning data to the ECU. The ABS system has a new Continental MK 100 module with cornering functionality. Additional features include MV EAS 3.0 quickshift, cruise control, 5.5-inch TFT instrument display, Bluetooth compatibility, Launch Control, Front Lift Control, eight levels of traction control, and four torque control maps.

The bike utilizes a chromoly steel tubular trellis frame and is suspended by Öhlins NIX electronically controlled and fully adjustable suspension components. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers at the front biting dual 320mm discs and a single Brembo two-piston caliper and 220mm disc at the rear.

Carbon fiber elements abound on the Rush, from the airbox cover to the clutch and gearbox covers, the underseat cover, radiator covers, and the rear wheel covers. It’s aggressive and mean and exactly what you’d expect from MV.

Purchasers of one of the limited 300 units will also receive a Racing Kit packaged in a military-inspired box containing CNC brake and clutch levers, auxiliary lights, CNC fuel cap, carbon exhaust cover, instrument cover, SC double-exit exhaust and racing ECU, a motorcycle cover, and a few other goodies. Each of the bikes will be numbered and badged, as you might have expected.
