Western Australian contender partially collapses both lungs.
A practice crash this week has sidelined Kyle Webster for Port Adelaide’s second stop of the 2019 Australian Supercross Championship.
The Penrite Pirelli CRF Honda Racing rider revealed he partially collapsed both lungs, and while confident he’ll return to riding as soon as a possible, a recovery time hasn’t been determined.
“Unfortunately I won’t be lining this weekend in Adelaide for round two of supercross,” Webster said in a statement. “I had a crash yesterday and have partially collapsed both lungs, thankfully it’s nothing to major and I’ll be back on the bike as soon as possible!”
The Western Australian finished 10th at Brisbane’s season-opener, which came after minimal preparation as he represented Team Australia at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) last month, where he put on a glowing performance to be ranked seventh in the MX2 category.
