In the premier class, the full-time rider with the least amount of crashes across the entire season was Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) with four, his lowest tally since 2014. Yamaha duo Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) racked up just six each in 2019. At the other end of the spectrum, the rider with the greatest number of crashes was Johann Zarco with 17, eight more than he recorded in 2018. Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller has the second most with 15, closely followed by teammate Francesco Bagnaia and World Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) on 14 apiece. This was Marquez’ least number of crashes in a single season since 2015.
